Mary Smith

Mary Smith is a second-year medical student at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. She earned an undergraduate degree in botany from Northern Arizona University in 2000. Before starting at the UA, she was a stay-at-home mom of five daughters, now ages 8 to 14. She moved to Tucson from Glendale, Ariz., with her husband, five daughters, dog and two cockatiels. Her family now has expanded to include two hamsters, six chickens and a variety of transient visitors such as snails, lizards and insects. Currently, she is enrolled in the Rural Health Professions Program and is co-president for the Integrative Medicine Club.
