Innovation and Invention Research Fair in Celebration of UA College of Medicine – Tucson’s 50th Anniversary, Oct. 18

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson will hold an Innovation and Invention Research Fair, Wednesday, Oct. 18, 4 to 6 p.m.

The event will take place on the “Walkway of Wellness” Plaza outside Roy P. Drachman Hall, 1295 N. Martin Ave.

UA College of Medicine – Tucson faculty members and collaborators from other UA colleges, universities and biotech companies will display posters detailing the latest discoveries and innovations that seek to improve patient care and precision medicine, as well as present 2-minute summaries of the implications of their research and future directions in the practice of medicine.

Research topics include:

  • Asthma and other lung diseases
  • Heart failure
  • Cancer (including prostate cancer, head and neck cancer)
  • Diabetes
  • Brain (including traumatic brain injury)
  • Aging
  • Pain
  • Precision medicine
  • Imaging
  • Biomedical engineering
