Rheumatology Radiology Conference 7:30-8:30 a.m. followed by Rheumatology Grand Rounds from 9:00-10:00 a.m.

Presenters:  Hani Rashid, DO & Shariq Chudhri, DO
Title:  Difficult Cases

Hani Rashid, DO is a first year Rheumatology Fellow in the University of Arizona College of Medicine.  He earned his bachelor's degree in Psychobiology at UCLA in 2008 and went on to complete a doctorate in osteopathic medicine at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine/Midwestern University in 2014.  He completed his internal medicine residency at Methodist Health Systems in Dallas, Texas, where he served as Chief Resident.  Recognized as an American College of Physicians (ACP) Young Achiever at the 2017 ACP Annual Internal Medicine meeting, Dr. Rashid was also a two-time recipient of the T.O.U.C.H. (Translating Osteopathic Understanding into Community Health) Gold award for volunteering over 200 hours during medical school.  He is a resident member of the American College of Rheumatology, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Society of Hospital Medicine.  He is board certified in Internal Medicine.

Shariq Chudhri, DO completed his Rheumatology Fellowship at the University of Arizona and joined the UA Division of Rheumatology faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in September, 2016. He completed his Bachelor’s degree with a triple major in biological sciences, chemistry and history at Southern Methodist University in 2007. He earned his doctorate in osteopathic medicine (DO) from the University of North Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011 and completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Arizona in 2014. Dr. Chudhri is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology. His professional and research interests included the implementation of musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnosis and treatment in the clinical setting. He also has an interest in health care policy and advocacy on behalf of patients and physicians.
