What classifies as an Academic Credit-bearing session?
A PBC academic session is defined as a class session hosted by a resident program of the PBC that bears credit and can be found by course number in the UA course catalog. When departmental Academic Coordinators request these sessions, they must list out the title and course number for these types of sessions. All other sessions are categorized as either Meeting or Special Event types.
How do I request a single or multi-day event?

How do I check on the status of my event request or view and manage my requested events?
- Go to the Astra Scheduling portal - schedule.phoenixmed.arizona.edu
- Click on the ‘Events’ under the ‘Events’ tab
- Use the ‘Filter’ column on the left side of the page, and find your event via a Keyword, Time Period, Start Date, etc.
- Click the ‘Search’ button at the bottom of the filter window
- Your events will appear in the ‘Event List’ window
- Find the ‘Status’ column to see your current event status
How will I know that my Event Request has been received?
Once your Event Request has been received, you will receive an email with a subject line stating "Event Request Received."
Will I be notified when my event has been confirmed?
Yes. When your Event Request is confirmed and scheduled, you will receive an email with the subject "Change in Event Status." The email will give the details of the event and show the "Meeting Status" as "Scheduled."
I created an event request, but I don't see it in Astra.
Astra Schedule will always email confirmations informing you that your event request was received. If you do not receive a confirmation in 15 minutes, the request was not successfully submitted. Please resubmit your request or contact PBC-Scheduling for assistance.
How do I cancel or change an event request?
Unless you are an academic scheduler or meeting scheduler, it is not possible for you to cancel or change your event request through the Astra Schedule software once it has been submitted. Contact the following event schedulers directly with any event cancellations or changes:

I started to create an event in Astra, but don't have time to finish it. Can I save an incomplete form?
Astra Schedule does not store incomplete event forms. The form must be complete before the ‘save’ button can be clicked. Once the ‘save’ button is clicked, your event request is submitted immediately. If a request form is left open for too long, the system will automatically time-out and you will lose all saved progress and won't be able to submit the form.
